Ari Nahmani – CEO / Founder

Ari Nahmani has over 17 years of experience with the web and 9 years in online marketing & SEO/SEM. A Washington, D.C. native who moved to Israel after finishing up at UMD (Go Terps!), Ari founded Kahena Digital Marketing after several years in the online marketing space in Israel. Ari is a web analytics freak who loves data, excel, and pretty charts that show growth and ROI. An unhealthy addiction to double espressos and an Apple enthusiast, it’s not uncommon to see Ari juggling multiple screens and iDevices – one of which is the iTunes DJ station for the office where Ari relives his college DJ days!

Rachel Slovin – Managing Director

Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Rachel Slovin moved to Israel after graduating from Loyola University with a BA in Finance. After working for four years in the office of a seminary, she decided it was time to move beyond the halls of 18 year old girls. She discovered the world of SEO, and hasn’t looked back since. Her favorite thing about SEO is how analytics looks after a successful campaign, showing that the SEO efforts have paid off. She discovered her love of technology when she would watch technicians work on her home computer in order to learn to do it on her own. Still, the most important piece of technology advice she ever learned is that a restart fixes almost any problem. New to the Apple iPhone, iPad addiction, she can be found out and about in Jerusalem.

Daniel Frank – Director of Technical Marketing

Daniel Frank was born and raised down-under in Wellington, New Zealand. After graduating from VUW in Information Systems with Honors, and travelling through Europe and the Middle-East, Daniel decided to move to Jerusalem to live. Throughout his career, Daniel has built skills in many areas of Information Technology including SEO, Website Development, Business Analysis and Project Management. In his spare time – Daniel likes to snowboard, hack around with the latest gadgets, and travel. He is also prepared to drop a beatbox or All Blacks Haka on request!

Ben Heligman – Senior Project Manager

Ben Heligman is a CPA auditor turned marketing professional. After working two years for Deloitte & Touche and moving to Israel, Ben began to merge his analytical and well-polished Excel skills with his creative passion and love for content. The result was a perfect fit within the digital marketing world. When not at Kahena, you can find Ben hiking Shvil Yisrael (again) or stretched out reading at Gan Sacher in Jerusalem.

Jeremy Davis – Project Manager

Born and raised on the shores of Lake Erie, Jeremy Davis moved to Israel after completing a Bachelors degree in Communications at Rutgers University. He officially completed his 2 years of Army service in the IDF Paratroopers with the required backpacking trip through India. Jeremy gained experience in marketing and communications during his work for a large Jerusalem based non-profit. His passion for digital marketing, SEO and social media has lead him to begin a Masters degree at Hebrew University in Internet and New Media. You can find Jeremy running through the streets of Jerusalem training for the next marathon, torturing himself by rooting for all of Cleveland’s sports teams and enjoying some of his favorite whiskeys.

Shayna Hulkower – Project Manager

Shayna made it to Israel by way of Long Island, Las Vegas, New York City, Washington, D.C. and a schooner, not in that order. During that time, she studied marine science and received her B.S. in Environmental Science from Long Island University, Southampton College, and her M.A. in Global Environmental Politics from American University in D.C. She had an interesting career in the U.S., working as an industrial hygienist in NYC before ticking off all the stereotypical jobs possible while living in the Nation’s Capitol: lobbyist, Congressional Staffer, bicycle messenger, federal government civil servant. She took to SEO, SMM, and inbound marketing like a fish to water (thanks to her marine science background) and appreciates that her love of a good pun and ability to generate a snarky meme are finally useful job skills. When not in front of a glowing screen, Shayna can be found cycling around Jerusalem, working on her Hebrew and fighting off the stereotype of being a hipster simply because she owns a record player.

Susan Schwartz – Project Manager

Susan grew up in the suburbs of Detroit and spent her college years at Wellesley, outside of Boston. After receiving a BA in economics in 2011, she decided she’d try her luck in Israel, and lucky she has been. Before joining Kahena and the world of digital marketing, Susan did research in economics at Hebrew University where she spent most of her time building economic courses, managing databases, and doing analytics. When an opportunity presented itself to join the great team at Kahena, she couldn’t turn it down and has been expanding her marketing and SEO knowledge ever since. When not at Kahena, you can find Susan at pilates class, tending to her plants, and getting outside.

Anaelle Attias Nowotny – Project Manager

anaelle-headshotBorn and raised in the New York City, Anaelle graduated with honors from NYU with a BA in Fine Arts. She moved to Israel in 2010, living in Haifa, Be’er Sheva and Jerusalem, and rounding up her move-around-Israel with a 2 year intermezzo in NYC, before returning to the Holy City where she lives with her husband and two daughters. Anaelle’s artist’s eye paired with her infinite inquisitiveness lead her to venture into the world of digital advertising where she worked at a start-up in Tel Aviv before joining Kahena. When she’s not at work, you may find her at the Israel Museum explaining art to her kids, or listening to Flamenco music while creating excel spreadsheets for her baking trials and errors.

Nadine Damboritz – Head of Operations

Nadine’s nickname in the office should be ‘breath mints’, because she’s a life saver. Before coming to Kahena she spent over a decade working in client relations and logistics management. Her experience handling large accounts and multiple clients simultaneously has prepared her for her biggest career challenge so far as Executive Assistant at Kahena. She’s really so much more than that, having her hands in all aspects of the office environment at Kahena, including HR, accounting, bookkeeping, office operations and reporting. Nadine is also a great support to Ari and team, keeping everyone organized and on track. Originally from Houston, Nadine has been living in Israel for over 9 years. When not at Kahena, you can find her enjoying time with her husband and two vivacious girls.
